Individual Student Travelers

Individual or Tiny Groups Can Still Join in the Adventure

We have several Mission Service Trips and several Educational Tours each year that are planned for individuals that aren’t already connected with a school or church group. Sometimes home school students or small pods of students can join together and still experience amazing trips. We combine Biblical truths and the excitement of Educational Travel together to make experiences that make memories for a lifetime.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you recommend Belize?

Belize is a great place to expose students to service and to missions. It is easy to get around and a relatively safe country to travel through. The doctors are usually US or British based physicians. Belize speaks English and so our students are able to make deep connections with their Belizean friends. As a country they have great physical needs that our students are able to meet through service. It is only a few hours flight time from the US and easy to access. They have a rich and diverse culture to study including Mayan, Creole, Garifuna, Hispanic, and even Mennonite people groups. There are many villages that are in need and asking for teams to support the church and the Christian outreach in their communities. As a group you could adopt a village long term and build lasting relationships with the people from that village. Belize really makes a great destination, but we’re happy to plan trips to wherever you feel called to go and serve!

What makes you different from other companies?

Our passion is missional and educational travel. Our founder traveled as a Christian school teacher and administrator for 23 years before deciding to provide these same amazing opportunities to every Christian School and home school program. We want to help you create long lasting friendships and ministry partnerships that last many years. We will find a village or ministry site that fits your group. Little extras, 13 years of local knowledge, and many partners around the country set us clearly apart from our competitors while providing all the safety and scheduling experiences you expect from any travel company.

What kind of accommodations do you stay in?

We have a number of jungle retreats, simple tourist hotels, or camp type settings that we have our students stay in. Security and location are always the top consideration when choosing places for our groups to stay. They have either rooms or cabins for students with individual bunks. Sometimes these accommodations might include AC but not always. Showers are always available in these accommodations but sometimes are not attached to the rooms and will be much less luxurious than is typical in the US.

What else do you do on your trips besides serve?

Often on Mission Service trips there are times when, as a group, we can do cross-cultural or sightseeing experiences. These experiences are always included in the cost and are never things that we can guarantee that the group will have time for. However, there are usually ways that we can work into our schedule: a visit to local Mayan ruins, hike to a nearby waterfall,  take a boat tour to a nearby island, have a meal with a local Mayan family, or take a tour of the local hot sauce company. We will always use local professional guided services for these excursions as needed and remember that they are extra adventures and not the primary reason for our travel.
